Plan now to attend the 30th annual Wonderful World of Christmas Craft & Vendor Show on Sunday, Nov. 11, at Genoa-Kingston High School from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 100 talented crafters and vendors will display their items to make your holiday shopping a snap. Both new and returning crafters and vendors are from more than 20 towns. Items include everything from American doll clothes, hand-painted wood signs, vinyl signs and ornaments, knit and crochet items, to self-protection items, children’s books, dog treats, purses, candles and food items.
There will be a bake sale, food court and more than 300 grab bag gifts will be available.
Santa will arrive at 11:30 a.m. and stay until 1 p.m. to hear special wishes – bring a camera.
Admission is $2 for adults and 50 cents for children. There will be more than 100 instant chances to win door prizes donated by crafters and vendors. A 50/50 cash drawing will take place at the end of the show plus a beautiful hand-crocheted afghan drawing.
This event is sponsored by the Genoa Community Women's Club to benefit the club's college scholarship fund. Scholarships are awarded each year to deserving G-K graduating high school seniors. Last year, seven students were awarded $1,000 each. The club also donates money throughout the year to community programs and people in need of help. In April, the club will hold a Bunco for Breast Cancer benefit to support local hospice and cancer centers.
The club is celebrating its 71st year. Monthly meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month at Resource Bank (lower level) in Genoa. All women from Genoa, Kingston and surrounding towns are welcome to join them in making a difference in the community.
