MALTA – The Kishwaukee College Continuing Education department will offer six short-term training programs during the spring 2021 semester.
Programs will be offered in a mix of online and hybrid formats. Participants are required to have access to a computer and the internet to participate in the programs.
Short-term training programs prepare people for a variety of entry-level positions in a wide range of career fields, with the opportunity for further career advancement. They also are a great way to explore a career before committing to a degree program.
Short-term training programs range from 11 to 20 weeks. Some include an externship. The programs prepare students to work in their field and pass their national certification exam, if required.
The six programs offered in the spring are: Pharmacy Technician (online), Sterile Processing Technician (online), Real Estate Broker Pre-License (online), Dental Assistant (hybrid – mix of online and in-person), Phlebotomy Technician (hybrid – mix of online and in-person), and Veterinary Assistant (hybrid – mix of online and in-person).
All programs begin Jan. 17. For more information about short-term training programs, visit www.kish.edu/shortterm or contact Kish’s coordinator of short-term training, Melissa Gallagher, at email@example.com.
