Corn Fest board, marketing firm donate to Opportunity House

DeKALB - Members of the DeKalb Corn Fest Board recently presented Opportunity House with a check for $3,552 from the proceeds of the "Canned for 2020" Corn Fest T-shirt sale.

In addition, Jim Doherty, owner of OLT Marketing who designed and sold the shirts, donated an additional $1,000 to the cause for a total of $4,552.

On July 3, Corn Fest organizers announced the popular family-fun festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they'd still be raising money to donate to a nonprofit through a special t-shirt sale.

Opportunity House will also serve as the 2021 recipient when the festival returns Aug. 27 through 29 of 2021, the release states.
