SYCAMORE – Brad and Brandon Cesaroni opened their first restaurant together in Woodstock on the famous Groundhog’s Day 2019. A year and a half later, the brothers are announcing their second location in downtown Sycamore.
The restaurant will be located in the former Ristorante de Acquaviva, 215 W. State St. in Sycamore. Demolition has already started inside the building and there will be six to eight months of a build-out process. When finished, the restaurant will have enough seating for 20 to 25 people.
“We wanted to start with a blank slate,” co-owner Brad Cesaroni said. “The design will be similar to our Woodstock location with brick inside. We hope to be open next summer or by Pumpkin Fest at the latest.”
Cesaroni’s Cafe & Deli will sell premium coffee and espresso, deli meats and cheeses, freshly baked breads and local produce.
“Our goal has always been to offer local and fresh items and the best of everything, from fresh produce from Klein’s Farm & Garden Market, a custom blend of roast coffee from Two Brothers Artisan Brewing and Boar’s Head meats and cheeses,” Cesaroni said.
In addition to offering dine-in services, the restaurant will offer phone-in and online pick-up orders, delivery by Uber Eats and catering.
Cesaroni said that sandwiches come with a bag of potato chips and a pickle and that most 9-inch sandwiches will cost about $10. Soups will be available during the fall and winter months. The restaurant will also offer a pick-two combo of soup, salad or sandwiches.
“We want to offer quality food at a fair price,” Cesaroni said. “We’re super happy to be in downtown Sycamore. It’s going to be amazing.”
