Two polling places moved from longterm care facilities in DeKalb ahead of November election

Also: Mail-in ballots headed to voters

DeKALB – Two polling places held in longterm care facilities in the City of DeKalb have changed ahead of the November 2020 General Election, according to a news release from the DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder’s Office.

The polling place designated as DK11 will be moving from Oak Crest Retirement Center to Bethany Road Bible Church at 2215 Bethany Road in DeKalb.

Polling places designated as DK19 and DK22 will be moving from Barb City Manor to the DeKalb Sports & Rec Center at 1765 S. Fourth St. in DeKalb.

New voter identification cards will be mailed to all registered voters impacted by the moves by July 20, the release states.

Vote by mail applications

The DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder’s office also announced Vote by Mail applications will be mailed to all registered voters in the county via U.S.P.S. between July 27 and Aug. 1, according to a news release.

If you would like to participate in the Nov. 3 General Election by mail-in ballot, you’re instructed to fill out an application and return it to the election’s office as soon as possible at 110 E. Sycamore St. in Sycamore.

If you don’t receive your ballot application by Aug. 15, you can still apply on the website for one at www.dekalb.il.clerkserve.com or call the office at 815-895-7147.

Early voting as well as voting in-person on Election Day are still available to all DeKalb County voters.

Ballots will not be mailed before Sept. 24 according to federal statute.
