The Northern Illinois University Annuitants Association trip to Chicago is to see the matinee of "Come From Away" has been rescheduled to April 22, 2021. Seats are available for the trip. Reservation deadline is Feb. 26 or until seats are sold out.
"Come From Away" tells the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Following record-breaking, critically acclaimed world premiere engagements at La Jolla Playhouse, "Come From Away" landed on the Best Theater of 2015 list in the Los Angeles Times.
The group will depart DeKalb at 9 a.m. for the 2 p.m. performance at The Cadillac Palace Theater. There will be free time for lunch in Chicago's loop with a box dinner for the trip back to DeKalb. Reserved seats are balcony seats.
