DeKALB – Hannah Buckle has been promoted to assistant director of music at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and will continue as the church’s principal pianist and accompanist.
Buckle joined the St. Paul's music program in fall 2016. Since age 6, she has performed and competed in numerous competitions in Illinois. She received multiple awards at the Geneva Granquist and Music Teachers National Association annual contests.
Buckle earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance from Northern Illinois University, where she studied with William Koehler.
In addition to performing as a solo pianist and collaborative accompanist, Buckle has an equal passion for teaching. She owns and operates the Hannah Buckle Piano Studio in DeKalb and teaches at Harmony Music School in Sugar Grove.
This fall, Buckle will attend Midwestern University where she will be working toward a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree.
