The First United Methodist Church of DeKalb donated 75 boxed lunches to the grocery store workers at Jewel-Osco last week as part of its Mission FEW (Feed Essential Workers).

The lunches were purchased through Hillside Restaurant. Church families included thank-you cards for the employees.

The church in a statement said it has plans to continue donating to front-line workers and first responders. Donations can be made at FirstUMC.net.
