Sycamore Kiwanis help kids learn to swim

The Kiwanis of Sycamore is part of a global service organization whose mission is “Improving the World, One Child and One Community at a Time.” One way the club works to do that is by providing swim lessons for young children through the Sycamore Park District. For the past seven years, Kiwanis of Sycamore has funded the Tiny Tots I Swim Lessons for ages 2-3. Children can be exposed to water and safety at a reduced fee. Pictured (from left) are Kiwanians Bob Higdon, Cary Niewold and Dana Crowley with Lisa Metcalf, park district facilities supervisor. Kiwanis of Sycamore meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Sorrento’s, 50W187 Route 64 in Sycamore. Guests are welcome.
