IVVC students, staff honored

The DeKalb County Marine Corps League thanks all who helped those less fortunate by assisting with the Toys for Tots program for 2019. The students of the EMS, fire science, and law enforcement classes and SkillsUSA Chapter members at Indian Valley Vocational Center in Sandwich did their share and beyond. They not only collected toys, they assisted in sorting and distribution, and the direction of traffic and parking control at the Sandwich VFW over several days. IVVC students and faculty were presented with a plaque from the DeKalb County Toys for Tots for going the extra mile. Pictured (back row from left) are Jim Hill from DeKalb County Toys for Tots, Eleanor Floyd, Morgan Thompson, Chazz Davis, EMS instructor Sarah Speerly, (front row) law enforcement instructor Vince Logan, Sierra Savage, Ivy Adams and fire science instructor Scott McCarty. Not pictured: Joe Barbic, IVVC director.
