DeKALB – Each one of us has a conflict style. Identification of your instinctual reaction to conflict can help you learn how to best address conflictual situations. Come to the DeKalb Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Thursday to learn about the different styles to better understand yourself and your peers.
Emily Dienst, a licensed clinical professional counselor, will present. She has worked in the outpatient Behavioral Health division at Northwestern Medicine for the past eight years. In addition to seeing individuals and families as a counselor, she services as an EAP to more than 30 local organizations, where she provides workplace interventions and presentations on a variety of topics. She specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
