MALTA – DeKalb County RAMP will host a conference March 5 to educate parents and educators on transitioning children with autism spectrum disorder into young adulthood.
The E3 conference, which costs $60 and has three sections – one from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., a second from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and a third from 1:45 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Kishwaukee College, 21193 Malta Road, Malta.
The conference will feature Timothy Wahlberg leading the 9 a.m. session. Wahlberg has been developing strategies for families with children on the autism spectrum for almost 25 years.
Author Jeanne Beard will host the second session. Bryan Dallas, professor of Rehabilitation Counseling at Northern Illinois University and Debra Miller, director of Disability Resource Center at NIU, will lead the third session.
