Fargo Skateboarding to host 'Made in the Midwest'

DeKALB – Fargo Skateboarding will host a "Made In The Midwest" Pop-Up Market and Skate Contest on Small Business Saturday – Nov. 30.

Fargo’s indoor skatepark will be transformed into a market featuring merchandise and prizes from local skate companies from across the Midwest.

Doors will open at 10 a.m. and carry on through 9 p.m. Admission to the market is free.

There will be skateboard contests beginning at noon with opportunities to win $2,000 in prizes. Contest admission for skateboarders is $20.

The purpose of this event is to help promote and bring awareness to the companies and businesses that make up the skateboard community and culture, which are key to the success of the industry as a whole.

Fargo Skateboarding is an indoor skatepark and skate shop located at 629 E. Lincoln Highway under the roof of the DeKalb Fargo theater built in 1929. The business has been selling skateboard goods for more than 12 years, with the skate park open to the public for the last three winters. Fargo hosts skateboard lessons, programs and camps for youth skateboarders, as well as events throughout the year for the community.
