Waterman seeks input from residents on future plans

WATERMAN – Waterman is seeking input on plans for the village's future.

Residents can share their ideas using an online survey or paper copies available in the Village Hall and the Clinton Township Library. The online survey is at: https://www.research.net/r/watermanresidents. The survey needs to be completed by Nov. 1.

The Waterman planning activity is part of a countywide economic development initiative funded by the DeKalb County Community Foundation and local sponsors. Each community is eligible for funding to prepare an initial plan containing preferred development strategies based on its assets and location. Additional funding is available to help implement one or more projects in the plan.

The Center for Governmental Studies at Northern Illinois University and Aurora University will help with data collection and preparing the plan. Village leaders want to hear from residents about ideas to make improvements. Residents are encouraged to participate and the Village website will have information on future meetings and activities.
