Music, fireworks, food at Cortland Summer Fest

Cortland Summer Fest will open Friday and run through Saturday at Cortland Community Park, 70 S. Llanos St.

A tented beverage garden and food vendors will be available both days. Admission costs $5 for ages 21 and older, and is free for ages 20 and younger.

On Friday, gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the bands Bossy Dogs performing at 6:30 p.m. and The Party Doctors at 9 p.m. There will be a fireworks show at dusk.

Gates open at noon Saturday, with a Mr. Freeze Cryogenics show at noon, the Animal Quest Animal Show at 1 p.m. and bands Mr. Myers at 2 p.m., Pistol Pete at 4:30 p.m. and Back County Roads at 7:30 p.m.

There will be free children's activites from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, including a bounce house, obstacle course, mechanical bull, petting zoo, face painting and a meet-and greet with Princess Ariel from 2 to 4 p.m.
