Stage Coach Players continues its 2019 season with the 2008 Pulitzer and Tony award-winning drama, "August: Osage County," by Tracy Letts. It open Thursday and runs through Sept. 15.

The death and funeral of their father brings three sisters to the home of their mother, Violet Weston, an acid-tongued, pill-popping cancer patient. The family is forced to reunite at the rural Oklahoma homestead. The result is an explosion of repressed truths and unsettling secrets.

"August: Osage County," is directed by Craig Gustafson, who made his directorial debut with Stage Coach Players in 2014 with "Urinetown: The Musical." This play contains adult themes and language.

The ensemble cast features Christy Doherty ("Night of the Living Dead"), Jim Doherty ("November"), Jessica Falco ("Jekyll & Hyde"), Janette Jacobs ("It Shoulda Been You"), Stewart Ogilvie ("Much Ado About Nothing"), Shawn Skau ("Not Now Darling"), Michael Steffen ("The Dining Room"), Steve Sturm ("Lend Me A Tenor"), and Daisy Torian ("A Christmas Carol"). "August: Osage County" also features Steve Brunett, Autumn Burns, Jami Johnson and Lisa Rohr making their Stage Coach debuts.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 5-7 and Sept. 13-14, and 2 p.m. Sept. 8 and 15. Tickets cost $15 each or $13 for seniors and children age 13 and younger.
