KC Academic Achievement Scholarship recipients named

MALTA – Kishwaukee College recently named the 2019 Academic Achievement Scholarship recipients.

Academic achievement scholarships are awarded to in-district high school graduates who meet specific GPA requirements. The scholarships are awarded in two categories: the President’s Scholar and the College Scholar.

Students receiving the President’s Scholar achieved a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75 or higher at time of application and will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship per semester for four semesters.

Students receiving the College Scholar achieved a cumulative high school GPA of 3.25-3.74 at time of application and will be awarded a $500 scholarship per semester for four semesters.

The local recipients of the President’s Scholar are:

DeKalb High School: Margaret Gannon, Raina Sands, Kendall Sypien and Liam Whelan

Genoa-Kingston High School: Isabella Brown, Brennen Denault, Anna Hansen, Joshua Stratton and Riley Wells.

Hiawatha High School: Hunter Bingaman, Crystal Gonzalez, John Haberstich, Caitlyn Hines, Ethan Hoffman and Cassidy Sterling

Homeschool: Hannah Sutter

Indian Creek High School: Raymond Ragan

Sycamore High School: Kaylee DuMont, Graham Flieder, Cassidy Gagalski, Michael Maveus, Paul Misitano, Natalie Schmit and Aubrey Villareal

The local recipients of the College Scholar are:

Cornerstone Christian Academy: Jackson Thirtle
