Library to host 'Astronomy for Everyone'

DeKALB – The DeKalb Public Library will host a “Look Up to the Stars” program at 7 p.m. Thursday that will offer a deeper understanding of the workings of the universe.

This family-friendly presentation,“Astronomy for Everyone,” explores the universe from the very small to the very large. It’s a virtual journey throughout the cosmos.

Over an hour and a half, attendees will learn about the size and scale of the universe, the stars, and other celestial wonders using hands-on activities and assorted visuals. If there’s time and weather allows, a telescope will be set up outside for viewing.

This program is free and does not require registration. Attendees must be age 8 or older. This is not a program suitable for younger children. It will be held in the lower level Yusunas Meeting Room.

For more information, contact Britta at brittak@dkpl.org or 815-756-9568, ext. 2100.

This program is sponsored by the Friends of the DeKalb Public Library.
