$104,475 awarded to high school seniors across DeKalb County

SYCAMORE – More than 86 scholarship awards totalling $104,475 were presented to graduating DeKalb County high school seniors this year.

Each year, charitable funds at the DeKalb County Community Foundation generate scholarship awards ranging from $250-$9,500 for graduating seniors of local high schools.

These awards come from 70 charitable funds, each being unique in the eligibility criteria and the story behind the fund creation, according to a DeKalb County Community Foundation news release.

Of the awards given out to local schools, 51 went to DeKalb High School, 31 to Sycamore High School, three to Genoa-Kingston High School, four to Indian Creek High School and one to Somonauk High school.
