SYCAMORE – Nationally known photographer Larry Kanfer will share the stories behind his prairie and farm landscape photography during a talk Wednesday at the DeKalb County History Center.
A longtime resident of Champaign-Urbana, Kanfer graduated from the University of Illinois in 1979. Immediately afterwards, he opened his own photography gallery, which he has maintained since then.
With a career spanning more than 30 years, Kanfer has had the rare opportunity of making his art his profession. Kanfer's works are shown in galleries, museums and private and corporate collections across the United States.
This program is sponsored by the Illinois Humanities.
The talk will begin at 1 p.m. at the center at 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore. It is free and open to the public. To see the “Crossroads: Change in Rural America” exhibit, the adult fee is $5, while members and children get in free.
