Naturalists share program at library

Jim and Deb Paulin, trained Naturalists from the University of Illinois Extension, presented a program about birds and their nests for the Little Learners Story Times at the DeKalb Public Library on April 9 and 10. They read books to the children and showed them bird nests and bird feathers and wings which were borrowed from the Russell Woods Nature Center. The children, ages 2 to 5, also sang songs and made a bird craft project. The Little Learners Story Times meets at 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and 10:30 a.m. and 10:50 a.m. Wednesdays. Story times often feature guests from the community and are followed by a themed craft and activity.
