Teens can design circuits

DeKALB – Teens are invited to the DeKalb Public Library to design circuits with Makey Makey, an invention kit for the 21st century that turns everyday objects into touchpads.

The library will provide its monthly Teen Tech program at 3:30 p.m. March 19. Teens can make a piano from bananas, play Tetris using playdough, or test if various materials conduct electricity or not.

Teen Tech is a STEM program for students in grades six through 12. The group meets monthly to do a making or STEM challenge. Materials for this event are provided through a grant by the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary Club.

The program will be in the Teen Room. No registration is required.
