SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office will be awarding two scholarships to students in the county on behalf of the Illinois Sheriffs' Association.
The scholarship amounts are $500 each, and winners will be determined by a scholarship committee made up of residents and education professionals. Applicants must be permanent DeKalb County and Illinois residents, the scholarships must be used at an institution of higher education within the state, and students must be enrolled full time during the 2019-20 school year, excluding the summer session.
Applications are available at the sheriff's office, 150 N. Main St., and online at dekalbcounty.org or ilsheriff.org. Completed applications, including answered essay questions, must be returned and postmarked to the sheriff's office by March 15.
