New year, new hobby, new database at the library

DeKALB – Feel like picking up a new hobby in 2019? Always wanted to learn how to do some kind of art or craft, but have no idea what to do or where to start? The DeKalb Public Library will hold a virtual tour of its newest database, Creativebug, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Learn how to access more than 1,000 award-winning art and craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists. Whether you’re interested in bullet journaling, sewing, knitting, figure drawing or cake decorating, Creativebug has a video to show you what to do, step-by-step. You’re also able to ask the experts your questions and get lists of what materials are necessary for each project.

For those who are experienced makers, get inspiration and download patterns. Follow along with the presentation and take notes or bring your own laptop to access Creativebug during the workshop.

This program is free and does not require registration. It will be held in the lower level Yusunas Meeting Room.
