Kishwaukee College offering personal trainer exam prep

MALTA – Kishwaukee College Community Education is offering ACE Personal Fitness Trainer Certification Exam preparation in the spring.

The class will meet from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 22 to May 14, on campus in room A1267. The cost of the class is $600, including textbooks.

A personal fitness trainer is a professional who has the knowledge, skills and abilities for safe and effective exercise. They design custom fitness programs to help their clients reach their personal health and fitness goals.

This course will prepare participants to become effective personal fitness trainers. This course will prepare participants to sit for the American Council on Exercise Personal Fitness Trainer certification exam.

The instructor, Jenna Bacchi, is an NASM certified personal trainer. She has a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. In addition to managing her personal fitness training business, she is a certified ACE instructor and 200-hour certified yoga instructor.

Kish College Continuing Education will host an information session for the spring short-term training programs from 6 to 7 p.m. Jan. 8 on campus in room C1209. Short-term training programs include dental assistant, pharmacy technician, phlebotomy technician, sterile processing technician and veterinary assistant.
