DeKalb Gallery artists will feature their ninth annual visual fine art exhibition at The Art Box Gallery, 308 E. Lincoln Highway in downtown DeKalb, from Nov. 4 to Dec. 29.
This is a patchwork quilt of visual fine artists who are passionate about their work and inspirations, and are all somehow affiliated with Northern Illinois University and DeKalb. They also have in common that allowable window of time to channel from the mind to the hand utilizing learned techniques best illustrating the world around them, historical events, myths, dreams, humor, theories, with visual impacts of color, compositions and design.
Featured artists include Renie Breskin Adams, Walter Ball, Gil Beamsley, Richard Beard, Sandra Bechtolsheim, Louise Behal Price, Dorothea Bilder, Carol Bingham, Robert Bornhuetter, Larry Gregory, Daniel Grych, Bill Haendel, Pat Lagger, Louis Mustari, Linda Thornton Peterson, Joan E. Robertson, Letitia Roller, Charlotte Rollman and Steven Tritt.
The opening reception is scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4.
The Art Box is open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed Sunday and Wednesday.
