Hy-Vee donates to DCCG

Hy-Vee nutritionist Lisa Brandt recently presented a donation check to Dan Kenney, executive director of DeKalb County Community Gardens. The donation will go toward the organization's Community Food Needs Program. Over its first six years, DCCG has donated more than 250,000 pounds of food to neighborhoods in DeKalb County. These funds will allow DCCG to continue distributing food, teaching gardening skills and increasing access to fresh healthy food. For more information about DCCG, visit www.dekalbgardens.org.
