Foot darts tournament planned to fight hunger

SYCAMORE – More than 20 teams will be competing in the inaugural DeKalb County United Shoots Out Hunger foot darts tournament July 14 to help fight hunger.

The event, in which teams of four will play foot darts, a lawn game where balls are kicked at a giant dartboard, will be from noon to 4 p.m. at the main south shelter of Sycamore Community Park, 40 E. State St.

There will be food, drinks, prizes and a meet-and-greet with members of the DeKalb County United Soccer Club. Proceeds from the event, which is hosted by Ace Worldwide Elite Relocation Services, will benefit Move For Hunger, a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to reduce food waste and fight hunger.
