Barb City Manor named Treesa Anderson its 2017 Friends Volunteer of the Year at the recent Volunteer Appreciation Event.
The Volunteer of the Year award was created in 1985 to honor a member of Friends of Barb City Manor who has shown outstanding dedication and service over the years. The Board of Directors selects the recipient with the help of members of Friends and Barb City Manor staff. The award criteria includes hours of service given and variety of duties undertaken and the individual’s reliability, cooperation, creativity, attitude, personality and energy.
Anderson joined Friends in 2015 and is involved in a variety of activities. Those who work with her describe her as having a nice personality and that she has “a way about her” making her easy and enjoyable to work with. She is eager to share her great ideas in the ReSale Shop and for resident activities.
She also enjoys visiting with residents during birthday parties, resident socials and anytime she drops in. She is dedicated to the ReSale Shop – working many times a month, greeting shoppers and helping them find the perfect items.
