DeKalb Kiwanis Club will host its 63rd annual Spring Fling Community Breakfast from 7 a.m. to noon April 14 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb.
The menu will include pancakes and all the trimmings and the event includes a silent auction and raffles.
Proceeds will be used to fund a $3,500 DeKalb High School scholarship, sponsoring two middle school Builder’s Clubs, the DHS Key Club and projects that build the community including Just Make It Happen and Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra programs for children and Safe Passage and Family Service Agency projects.
This year in cooperation with the DeKalb Public Library, the club sponsors Healthy Minds – Healthy Bodies. Proceeds from the silent auction will be used to support this interactive program focused on making better choices in food, cooking and physical care of students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Spring Fling tickets cost $8 for adults and $5 for youth. The meal is free for those younger than 5. There is a $20 Family Pack special for four tickets and a $40 Breakfast Club deal for six. Tickets are available from any DeKalb Kiwanis member or at the door.
