County Board candidates to discuss energy issues during forum

DeKALB – The League of Women Voters of DeKalb County will host a candidate forum for County Board candidates Thursday to discuss energy issues such as farming, land use and wind and solar farms.

Doors open for the town hall-style forum at 7 p.m. at the DeKalb Area Women’s Center, 1021 State St. Free parking will be available a half-block away on 11th Street.

Candidates will answer questions about important county land and energy issues submitted by the audience. Candidates also will have a two-minute opening statement and a one-minute closing statement.

Those wishing to submit questions to the candidates can increase the chances of their questions being selected by keeping them short enough to fit on a 3-by-5-inch note card and written legibly. Questions should also be written so all candidates can answer.
