Winter with a Master Gardener offered in Oregon

Winter with a Master Gardener is an evening gardening workshop to be held Thursday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the University of Illinois Extension Office, 421 W. Pines Road in Oregon. Join the Ogle County Master Gardeners for this evening event offering participants information about various aspects of home gardening.

The Ogle County MG’s had so much fun last fall they want to share more. Winter is here but no time to slack, topics include: Seed Starting, Companion Plantings, Pruning Brambles & Grapes. Also included; The kids/grandkids are here ... Now what? = Tips on How to Garden with Kids!

Participants also will learn about lip balm and have an opportunity to make one.

Registrations will be accepted until Feb. 5. To cover costs there is a charge of $10 per person or $15 per couple. Register soon, space will fill quickly.
