Kishwaukee College Athletics will celebrate Latino Heritage on Tuesday, Oct. 17, as part of the college’s Hispanic Heritage Month activities. This event is open to the public.
Beginning at 4 p.m. in the balcony and lounge areas near the gym, El Sol Restaurant from Rochelle will sell tacos, flautas and tostadas for $1.50 for a single serving. Two servings with side orders of rice and beans will be available for $5. There also will be free Loteria games for attendees to play; winners will receive prizes. Attendees can enjoy recorded Latin music while they participate in the activities.
The Kish Volleyball team will take on Illinois Valley Community College at 6 p.m. Participants in Latino Heritage Night are welcome to watch the volleyball action and cheer on the Kougars.
