Kishwaukee United Way’s Taste of the Vine has a new look and feel in 2017.
Taste: Bottles & Brews has expanded to include a craft beer tasting in addition to the traditional wine selections, food and entertainment by Jazz In Progress.
Attendees can “Make a Case for the Cause” by entering to win a mini case of beer or wine, bid on a wide array of silent auction items and take a chance on the 50/50 raffle.
“It’s a fun way for individuals and businesses to show their support of community initiatives and have fun at the same time,” Executive Director Dawn Littlefield said in a news release.
This community event is an opportunity for businesses to get involved and support the United Way through sponsorship and silent auction items. To get involved in this way, companies and organizations can contact the United Way office.
Event proceeds benefit the local United Way, supporting 24 human service agencies and programs in nine communities throughout DeKalb County. At Kishwaukee United Way, an average of 96 cents of every contributed dollar goes directly to vital services.
Taste: Bottles & Brews will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at St. Mary’s Memorial Hall, 322 Waterman St. in Sycamore.
If a reservation is called in by Oct. 20, guests will receive a discounted ticket rate of $45 and one free $10 raffle ticket. To reserve a seat or learn about sponsorship opportunities, call 815-756-7522 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
