New playground unveiled at Liberty Park in DeKalb

Children play on the new Liberty Park playground at 1018 Lewis St. in DeKalb. The new playground, which replaces the 18-year-old structure, features a generation swing and Americans with Disabilities Act-accessible components but still preserves the purple dinosaur from the old design. The construction was made possible by the 2016 Healthy Play Action Grant Program, which aims to assist parks in creating playground spaces that encourage activity.
