It’s time to hang the stockings and trim the tree – all-vocal country standouts Home Free are bringing their signature sound and the spirit of the season back on the road as they embark on the 2017 A Country Christmas Tour coming to the Egyptian Theatre in downtown DeKalb at 8 p.m. Dec. 8.
Since being crowned NBC’s The Sing-Off victors, all-vocal quintet Home Free has made their mark on the music scene selling more than 250,000 copies combined of their popular albums, embarking on four major national tours, amassing more than 167 million YouTube views, and sharing the stage and studio with Country Music Hall of Famers Kenny Rogers and the Oak Ridge Boys.
Following the breakout success of the 2016 A Country Christmas Tour and the group’s deluxe holiday album “Full of (Even More) Cheer” (which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart), the quintet is bringing new music, new production and even more holiday favorites to 20 cities across the U.S. for this year’s trek.
Called “country music fans’ favorite a cappella group” by Taste of Country, Home Free has already had a busy year touring throughout North America and Europe in support of their latest studio album “Country Evolution” to tens of thousands of enthusiastic followers, and a new full-length project is expected this fall.
HomeFree’s breakout debut album “Crazy Life” (2014) hit No. 1 on iTunes Country chart and No. 4 overall. Founded in 2000 during collegiate years, the five-man band from Minnesota has been electrifying crowds with their live show for nearly a decade, performing together for packed audiences at major festivals, fairs, colleges and theaters.
Their extensive touring and reputation as extraordinary showmen has built a loyal fan base while bringing their homegrown country style into the national spotlight.
