Sycamore Police Department hosts community outreach meetings

SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Police Department is hosting community outreach meetings through April for residents to meet and speak with their neighborhood liaison officers.

The department has officers assigned to each of the city’s four wards to assist residents with neighborhood concerns, address quality-of-life issues and act as community caretakers.

Residents are invited to attend the meeting corresponding to the ward they live in to ask the officers questions or just to meet them.

The meeting for Ward 1 will be at 7 p.m. April 5 at the Sycamore Public Library, 103 E. State St.

The meeting for Ward 2 will be at 6:30 p.m. April 13 at the City Council Chambers of the Sycamore Center, 308 W. State St.

The meeting for Ward 3 will be at 6:30 p.m. March 15 in the City Council Chambers of the Sycamore Center.

The meeting for Ward 4 will be at 6 p.m. April 12 in the Sycamore Public Library.

Ward 1 is along the east side of the city. Ward 2 is along the north side, Ward 3 is along the west side, and Ward 4 includes parts of the center of the city and the south end.
