Voluntary Action Center of DeKalb is introducing major schedule changes to the TransVAC Green Line.
Effective April 3, the TransVAC Green Line will operate every half hour during peak demand times from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The changes are being instituted to accommodate increased ridership on the Green Line and make the service more customer-friendly.
“We are pleased to offer expanded options on the Green Route,” Ellen Rodgers, VAC Executive Director, said in a news release. “The new peak time service will reduce wait times for our ridership and provide an improved user experience.”
The Green Line is a partnership between VAC and the City of DeKalb to provide bus transportation to the community. VAC also operates a sister Blue Line service in partnership with the City of Sycamore. Both Green and Blue lines offer affordable, reliable deviated-route service that connects residents in the DeKalb-Sycamore area.
