Immanuel Lutheran Church in DeKalb invites the community to its Lenten worship series “Standing at the Cross” held at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wednesdays.
As a Lenten lead-in to the 500th anniversary of the Reformation, this series will focus on portions of sermons Martin Luther actually preached during Lent, Holy Week and Easter in the parishes where he served.
On March 15, the Rev. Caleb Schauer of St. John in Union will deliver the sermon, “Standing Through Suffering.” The Trustees will provide a freewill offering chili and chili dog dinner available from 5:15 to 6:30 p.m. prior to the evening service of worship. All are welcome to attend.
The church is located at 511 Russell Road.
