SYCAMORE – The end of summer is time to look forward to the changing colors and decorations that are part of the autumn season. A fun way to learn more about this special time of year is through stories and song. The Sycamore History Museum is inviting children ages 3-6 to join them in a Garden Story time that takes a closer look at fall.
“Our summer story times were so much fun, we decided to offer two fall story times,” museum executive director Michelle Donahoe said. “The classes will be led by Cheryl Larson and Marge Johnson, who did such a wonderful job during the summer story times.”
The story times will feature stories, songs and crafts. The first story time, “Harvest on the Farm” is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, and the second class, “Fall is Here” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 18. Registration is suggested. These free classes will be held at the Sycamore History Museum, 1730 N. Main St. in Sycamore.
