The Genoa Lions grilled pork chops, hot dogs and bratwurst for the 2014 Pioneer Day sponsored by Kishwaukee Valley Heritage Society. The day-long event was held at the KVHS museum and included Wild West re-enactors, Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln impersonators, a stage coach ride, 19th-century games, activities, and displays of artifacts, and live music. Twelve Lions served lunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
