DeKalb County Clerk and Recorder Doug Johnson is seeking people to serve as election judges for the Nov. 4, 2014 general election.
The base pay for one day of service is $90, with an additional $40 for judges who have received training. Training days are set for Sept. 29, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1. Judges who attend one of these three sessions qualify for the additional pay.
Judges must be U.S. citizens entitled to vote in the next election; be a resident of and registered to vote in DeKalb County; be of good repute and character; be able to speak, read and write in the English language; be skilled in the four fundamental rules of arithmetic; be of good understanding and capable of performing the required duties; complete state-required training; and cannot be a candidate for any office up for election, nor can they be precinct committeemen.
