DeKALB – Kishwaukee Kiwanis will offer paid parking and a rummage sale Friday, Aug. 29 through Sunday, Aug. 31, during Corn Fest in downtown DeKalb.
Parking will be at 204 N. Fourth St. in DeKalb, the old Mooney car dealership, from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Cost to park is $5.
From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, the Kiwanis will also host their annual rummage sale at the same location. Anyone with items they would like to donate to the sale can drop them off between 3 and 6 p.m. Friday. No clothing, electronics, or heavy items will be accepted.
Proceeds from these events will be used to support Kishwaukee Kiwanis projects throughout the community. In the past Kishwaukee Kiwanis has supported Children’s Learning Center, Safe Passage, Hope Haven, Salvation Army, Ben Gordon Center, the YMCA, DeKalb Public Library, and has awarded scholarships to DeKalb High School students.
