Stage Coachers auditioning for 'White Christmas'

SYCAMORE – Auditions for Stage Coach Players' production of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" will be held at the Sycamore United Methodist Church, 160 Johnson Ave. in Sycamore, from 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 and 24 and from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Aug. 25.

The production includes eight shows, opening Dec. 4 and running through Dec. 14. Rehearsals will begin on Oct. 8.

"White Christmas" is based on the 1954 American musical film directed by Michael Curtiz and starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kay, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, loosely based on the 1942 film "Holiday Inn." Stage Coach Players' production is being directed by Josh Smith, with music direction by Nika Plattos.

Casting includes men and women from 20 - 60 and one young girl 9-12. Those auditioning should come prepared with a song (bring sheet music for the audition pianist), be prepared to cold read scenes from the script and participate in a dance audition.
