Police seek leads in theft of fishing gear

GENOA – Crime Stoppers and the Genoa Police Department are seeking the public’s help in solving a residential burglary.

Some time on July 12, a person or people entered a garage in the 200 block of A Street in Genoa and took a large amount of walleye and musky fishing equipment, including tackle boxes, rods, reels, and lures.

Anyone with information about this crime, items taken or people involved is encouraged to contact DeKalb County Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards up to $1,000, and callers can remain anonymous.
