Apartments burglarized in Malta

Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a residential burglary in rural Malta sometime overnight from July 19 into July 20.

Someone entered the Country Side West Apartments. Taken were two Sony Playstations, a small amount of loose jewelry, and a small metal safe.

Anyone with information about this crime or people involved is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 815-895-3272 or email crimestoppers@dekalbcounty.org. Crime Stoppers pays a cash reward of up to $1,000, and callers can remain anonymous.

Vandals damage Waterman home

Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an incident of vandalism to a home in rural Waterman.

Sometime between July 4 and 6, someone damaged a home in the 10000 block of Duffy Road. A number of windows were broken, and there was graffiti on appliances and furniture inside the residence.
