Troop 2810 attends Canyon Camp

Boy Scout Troop 2810, chartered out of Salem Lutheran Church in Sycamore, traveled to Canyon Camp in Stockton for summer camp from June 29 through July 5. A total of 29 scouts and eight adults enjoyed a week of badge work, rank advancement and camaraderie. Scouts completed a total of 114 merit badges; with new badges of movie making, chess and oceanography among the many they could choose from. Other highlights from camp are the camp-wide games, Astronomy nighttime hike, the Battle of Bunker Hill, sightings of the “zip-zip” bird, a climbing wall, moonlight swim and rappelling down the canyon walls.
