The Genoa Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting with Hoffman Realty and Silverthorne Home Builders to relaunch Genoa's Oak Creek Subdivision. Homes in this quiet neighborhood between the Oak Club of Genoa and the Kishwaukee River start at $190,000 and include single-family ranch and two-story plans. A portion of the subdivision has been donated to the Genoa Township Park District, and is being used as a practice field by Pop Warner football team the Mighty Cogs.
