rom 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Saturday, kids of all ages and their families are invited to the Ellwood House Museum, 509 N. First St. in DeKalb, to visit the popular Little House and enjoy toys and games from the 19th century.
The 1891 Victorian playhouse will be open for viewing, and reproduction historic toys and games will be stationed at several locations, each accompanied by historical information and instructions. Participants are also encouraged to bring a lunch to eat on the grounds of the Ellwood Park. In the event of bad weather, the program will be moved indoors to the Hearthside Room in the Visitor Center. The program is free of charge, but advance registration is required.
