DeKalb High School’s Class of 1969 will celebrate its 45-year reunion during a weekend of activities Aug. 1 and 2.

The weekend kicks off with an informal gathering at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 1 at Fatty’s Pub and Grille, 1312 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb. DHS alums from other classes are welcome to attend this “drop-in” event. Cost is $10 per person and includes pre-selected appetizers and a cash bar.

The official reunion event takes place Aug. 2 at the Clubhouse at River Heights Golf Course, 1100 S. Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb, from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Class members and their guests will enjoy dinner catered by the Hillside Restaurant. Cost is $30 per person; $35 after July 15 or at the door. A highlight of the evening will be a fun-filled raffle.

Optional events on Saturday include tours of DeKalb High School at 10 a.m. and the Egyptian Theatre at 1 p.m. A special focus of the theater tour will be the two seats donated by the Class of 1969 during the Egyptian’s seating sponsorship campaign.
